What am I doing these days as a writer to improve myself professionally?

November 2024 is going on and because of that, an intense winter started here in India. It’s good to experience various moods of nature here in my country. I’m not very fond of winters, but it is okay because as a writer you can sip another cup of coffee.

The months of November and December are the months for self-inspection in our career. I’m making some major changes in my writing and personal life.

The first thing I’m doing these days is waking at 4:30 am and taking my morning walk alone. It was hard to do so in the beginning, but now I have started enjoying this process and it has become a part of my routine.

While taking my morning walk, I carry my mobile phone and earbuds with me and listen to some talk shows talk about personal upliftment. Every day, I take a walk of 7 km at least, in which I run for 2 km in between.

This single change in my life has improved my energy levels. These days I feel more energetic, focused, and happy.

Now let’s shift to another point.

Life is pretty busy these days. I am planning to improve my writing career on various levels. Truly speaking, as a writer, I know I’m much more capable of achieving more than what I’m making now.

The worst thing that can stop a writer from achieving massive success is his fear of failure or the fear of rejection.

One particular lesson I learned a little late is that as a writer we have options available to us. We just need to see opportunities around us and believe in ourselves that we can achieve whatever we want in our lives.

You don’t need to follow every influencer and expert in your industry. Just do what resonates with your soul and gives you happiness while doing that.

Many times in our writing career, we avoid writing such topics that have little to no demand in the industry. But internally, we love writing them or thinking about those topics in our free time.

It can be poetry, fictional stories, and geopolitical analysis of the events happening in the world. Cut the voice echoing in your mind that you can’t do that. Take a fresh…
